Viviane Reding to receive German IT award

EU commissioner Viviane Reding has been named IT person of the year by German computer magazine CHIP for her efforts for unified data protection regulations within the EU.

(CS) EU commissioner Viviane Reding has been named IT person of the year by German computer magazine CHIP for her efforts for unified data protection regulations within the EU.

CHIP editor-in-chief Josef Reitberger said about the laureate, “Viviane Reding strengthens consumer rights through her initiative and gives enterprises a secure legal basis.”
