(ADW) The Observatoire de l'habitat has just released its latest figures on housing costs showing that prices continue to soar in the Grand Duchy.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, the number of apartment sales increased significantly compared to the previous quarter. Over one year sales growth reached 6.8%. This is partly explained by modifications for the conditions required in obtaining “Bëllegen Akt”, (a tax break that includes incentives for eco friendly housing) from 1 January 2012, leading to some potential buyers accelerating completion of housing projects.
