(ADW) Organisers and participants are busy planning how make the most of this Sunday afternoon. It is estimated this year that 28,000 spectators will turn up for the 33rd edition of the Diekirch Cavalcade.
It was way back in 1870 when the first Cavalcade took place in the Grand Duchy and indeed in Diekirch with the theme "Exploration around the country of gluttony". The revenue generated during the event should have been distributed to the poor. Unfortunately this great idea was not to be as the Cavalcade’s accounts ended up in the minus!
