Check-in to the app with a map for Luxembourg nightlife

Turquoise masks in the form of stickers have appeared around Luxembourg City, baffling many people, but that's the aim when you discover what it's all about.
It's all part of a publicity campaign for a smartphone app especially for the Grand Duchy, promoting nightlife, events, finding friends, checking in, and saying cheers!
'Nightler' is an innovative concept, and while there may be several event apps out there, the approach is somewhat different for this app with the turquoise mask logo.

Where are you? Who else is there? And how is it? These are the three basic questions the app works out from using an interactive map to show where you are located and where your friends have checked in to.
It is not an intrusive app either as you need to actually "check-in" to a location before any other app users can see where you are and Nightler never saves your GPS location. You can rate the place you've checked into and as an extra little gimmick when you find a friend you can send them a "cheers" in the form of a little beer glass icon.
Where Nightler really shines though is the combination of the map with many locations dotted around the country, and event listings that the app either pulls in from various sources, or allows organisers to input their own events.
There's a "become a star" feature, designed specifically for artists and musicians and makes their submissions appear as professional events on the Nightler map.
The smartphone app boasts that since its launch in January this year in Luxembourg, there have been over 3,000 "check-ins" with just over 500 per month. Added to that there are more than 550 locations and 100 events per week meaning that the app is chock-a-bloc with stuff going on in the Grand Duchy, venues and people.

By using the app you too may discover just where your friends are enjoying an evening out, before sending them a cheeky "cheers" message.
Nightler is available for both Android and iPhone.
