(ADW/AFP) The European Commission on Tuesday proposed to overhaul rules on
benefits for EU migrants which would mean that Greater Region
cross-border workers residing abroad, could receive unemployment
benefit from Luxembourg instead of their country of residence which
is currently the case.
If the bill comes to fruition it would impact Belgian, French and
German residents who cross into Luxembourg daily. This would also
impact the Grand Duchy's coffers.
