(JB) Luxembourg steel town Differdange is a place of firsts – hosting the country's first state-run international school, and its first race through a town hall. But one of its proudest claims is that it kick-started the Christmas market trend in Luxembourg.
The first Christmas market was held in 1976 on Place du Marché in a bid to attract more shoppers to the town.
