François Bausch, Infrastructures and Sustainable Development
Minister, wants collective construction holidays or 'congé collectif' to be
more "flexible". Clarification of the proposal came after an
interview that was not to the liking of the OGBL union.
In an interview with the L'essentiel newspaper, François
Bausch said that traffic jams in Ettelbruck are a "consequence" of collective
holidays in the construction sector, which according to the Luxembourg
minister, "delayed" some public works in the city. The statements
were vehemently repudiated by the OGBL trade union, outraged by the minister's
statements.
