(sth) – In a recent answer to a parliamentary question by Franz Fayot (LSAP), Minister for Culture Xavier Bettel revealed details about plans to transform the building of the “ancien Athénée” into a national gallery for Luxembourgish art.
The building that is connected to the cathedral in Luxembourg-city used to host the school “Athénée de Luxembourg” before it moved to the building in Luxembourg-Merl. Nowadays, the “ancien Athénée” hosts the national library, but not for long, as a new building for this is under construction on Kirchberg.
