Luxembourg's Economy Minister Etienne Schneider Monday voted against a proposed EU regulation addressing geo-blocking at the Council meeting of EU Economy Ministers in Brussels, saying that the text was a “failure, because it seems to create more problems than it solves”.

Economy Minister Etienne Schneider Monday voted against a proposed
EU regulation “addressing geo-blocking and other forms of
discrimination based on customer's nationality, place of residence or
place of establishment”.
Schneider was critical of the proposal at the Council
meeting of EU Economy Ministers in Brussels, saying that the text was a
“failure, because it seems to create more problems than it solves”.
