(str/sth) – A truck
driver seemingly owes his life to a couple of vigilant colleagues and
customs officers. The drunk man had fallen asleep inside his cabin
during a break at Aire de Berchem while preparing a meal on a gas
burner. This appears to be the reason why he did not notice that his
cover caught fire.
Other truck drivers had
noticed smoke coming outside of the cabin and alerted customs
officers that were patrolling the rest stop.
