An enormous fir tree that once filled the front garden of a house in Schoos, about 25km
north of the capital, now stands tall outside Luxembourg City train
station, but how and why was it moved?
Over the years the fir
tree, of home-owners Linckers-Huynen, was the most admired feature of
their garden, but as it grew, so grew their worries that one day the
tree, towering way about the building, could topple over in a storm
and come crashing down on the house.
