A Luxembourg ultralite pilot had a lucky escape when a wing of his aircraft suddenly broke off causing it to plummet and crash into trees, leaving him trapped 20 metres from the ground.
A Luxembourg ultralite pilot had a lucky escape when a wing of his aircraft suddenly broke off causing it to plummet and crash into trees, leaving him trapped 20 metres from the ground.
The incident occurred at about 4:15pm on Saturday near Idar-Oberstein over the border in Germany after the ultralite had just taken off from Göttschied airfield.
