Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and EU leaders on Sunday signed a landmark trade deal seven years in the making despite the pact nearly being torpedoed by the Belgian region of Wallonia.
At a ceremony in Brussels that had been delayed from Thursday due to Wallonia's reluctance, Trudeau signed the pact alongside EU President Donald Tusk, European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
