As part of its bike
rental scheme, Luxembourg City has just opened a brand new Vel'oh!
station in Kirchberg with 15 terminals.
The new place to pick
up the Vel'oh bike is located on the corner of rue Jean-Pierre
Sauvage and Boulevard Prince Félix
With the opening of the
new station, the City has responded to the request of Kirchberg
inhabitants making it the 76 station in the capital's network that
boasts 716 bikes, and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Since the scheme was
launched the number of subscribers has grown steadily. In 2008 around
3,000 people used the service and by 2014 the figure rose to 6,300.
By 2015 the figure reached close to 7,000 users, with no less that
1,003,839 cycling journeys during the year.
