A1 Howald Tunnel closed at the weekend

With major maintenance work at the Howald Tunnel on the A1 motorway due to start at 8pm on Friday evening and run until midday on Saturday, traffic disruption is predicted for the coming weekend.

In relation to this, a complete roadblock will be set up between Croix de Gasperich and Hamm junctions in both directions.

Traffic approaching from the A3 and A6 travelling in the direction of Trier onto the A1, will be diverted from the Croix de Gasperich via the  Gluck Roundabout , B3, CR224, CR228, N2 until the junction at Hamm.

Traffic approaching from Trier on the A1 and towards Croix de Gasperich will be diverted from the Hamm junction via Sandweiler's "Irrgartchen"roundabout, the N2, CR228, CR224, B3 until the Croix de Gasperich.

Luxembourg City traffic disruption

The old BGL building located near the post office in the City centre by Hamilius is due to be demolished at the weekend. This means that Boulevard Royal will be closed at times and therefore will cause traffic disruptions. It is advisable to avoid the area by car if possible.
