A motorcyclist was in a critical condition following a collision in Kayl in the south of Luxembourg on Wednesday.
According to police, a motorist overlooked an approaching motorcyclist when turning left onto Rue de Tetange at around 9pm.
The biker was unable to brake in time and crashed into the side of the car.
The force of the collision left the front end of the motorbike lodged in the car's front wheel arch.
The motorcyclist ws dragged for several metres and suffered serious injuries.
A female pillion passenger on the bike, meanwhile, was thrown by the impact into the opposite lane. Her injuries were said to be minor.
The car driver turned out to have consumed over the legal alcohol limit for driving. His licence was confiscated.
