Organ donation law not respected in Luxembourg

For patients of Luxembourg's Protransplant association, the situation is catastrophic: doctors are not always meeting their obligations.

(lb/NG) For patients of the Protransplant association, it's not normal that there were only three organ donations in Luxembourg in 2015. Or that Luxembourg ranks in the sixth last place in the world in terms of organs donated.

The basis of the problem is the 1982 law is not respected, the association notes. Articles 6 and 9 in the law maintain that every resident is an organ donor unless he or she has expressly indicated his or her disagreement in writing.
