You can tell Christmas
in Luxembourg is not far away when towns begin to have their
Christmas market trees delivered, and one of the first places to
welcome theirs is Esch-sur-Alzette.
"It's higher
than last year, a bit thinner, but higher," says Sascha Seil
from Esch's press service standing at the foot of the tree
measuring a total of 14.5 metres.
The reason the tree in
Esch goes up so early is because the Christmas market in the town
begins on November 18.
Second Christmas market
For the first time this
year, a little second Christmas market will take place at half way
up the Gaalgebierg hill, just outside Esch-sur-Alzette.
