(JB) Domestic cats in
Luxembourg will have to be micro-chipped under a new animal welfare
law aimed at reducing the number of
pets
abandoned and improving
their quality of life.
The proposal was
confirmed by Luxembourg Agriculture Minister Fernand Etgen responding
to a parliamentary question, who said it would force pet owners to
take responsibility for the animals in their care.
