Workers emptying an uninhabited house in a district of Trier just over the border in Germany on Tuesday were shocked when they made the gruesome discovery of the remains of a dead body.
It is assumed that it is the body of a woman who has been missing in the area for several years, but this has not been confirmed and an investigation has now been launched.
