It was just after 7pm on Tuesday when Dudelange firefighters rushed to the scene of a house completely ablaze with “metre-high flames” reported.

It was a passer-by who triggered the alarm on Rue Tettenberg, seeing thick smoke rising from the building. However moments later the living room and staircase of the house caught fire and events took a dramatic turn.
