(NG) Petition 698, which calls for Luxembourgish to be considered the first official language and national language for all citizens in Luxembourg, has already received over 7,000 signatures.

It took Petition 698 less than four days to pass the threshold of 4,500 signatures: under Luxembourg law, petitions which receive that number of signatures or more are discussed in Parliament.
