Negligent employers in Luxembourg to be fined for workplace accidents
Negligent companies in Luxembourg could soon be fined if their staff suffer workplace accidents, under a new law aimed at reducing injuries and deaths in the workplace.
(MF/JB) Luxembourg's workplace inspection body hopes to introduce fines for negligent employers whose staff suffer workplace accidents in a bid to reduce the number of injuries and deaths.
Last year, there were 11 fatal accidents in Luxembourg and so far this year there have been nine, of which seven were on building sites, the “Inspection du Travail et des Mines Agence Luxembourg” (ITM) revealed in a press conference on Wednesday.
