(jag/JB) A service station chain
has said it has ceased selling compressed natural gas (CNG) at its
Luxembourg outlets following an accident in Germany.
Aral director Romain
Hoffmann said the decision to cease selling the fuel came after a gas
tank exploded at a petrol station during filling.
“It is just a
precaution. We are waiting for the findings from Volkswagen on the
fuel tanks of their cars,” he said.
Aral had already ceased
selling the fuel in Germany. It is the only company in Luxembourg
which sells CNG. The closure is expected to affect up to 300 vehicles
in Luxembourg.
