Building brain connections in children through movement
Australian early childhood development expert, Dr Jane Williams, was in Luxembourg on Tuesday evening to discuss the crucial link between movement and cognition in a child's developing brain.
(NG) Did you know that at birth, babies—despite having approximately the same number of neurons as an adult—have 10 times fewer connections in the brain?
What's more is that by the age of just four, the brain has 90 % of its connections in place, research has shown.
