Work is still underway to reopen a Luxembourg road which was blocked
by a landslide over two years ago.
The
bypass was needed after a landslide on the night of March 13 to 14
sent earth from the Monkeler construction waste site tumbling into a
road between Esch-sur-Alzette and
Mondercange, forcing part of the A4 motorway to be closed. No one was
injured in the landslide, but work to clear the rubble and secure the
site has been fraught with delays.
