Luxembourg university to recruit research vice-president
The role involves overseeing all research-related activities across all three of the university's academic faculties and interdisciplinary centres.

The University of Luxembourg is looking
for a Vice-President Research to oversee all research-related
activities across all three of its academic faculties.
The establishment, which has a campus
in Kirchberg, Limpertsberg and Belval, has a faculty of science,
technology and communication, faculty of law, economics and finance
and a faculty of language and literature, humanities, arts and
education.
It also has three interdisciplinary
centres – for security, reliability and trust (SnT), for systems
biomedicine (LCSB) and for contemporary and digital history (C2 DH).
Able
to work in English, French and/or German the Vice-President Research
recruited into the role will be a "researcher
of international stature" who can build and maintain relationships with industry players and
the government and bring a "performance-oriented
working style and innovative and visionary thinking with regard to
strategic planning activities".
The
University of Luxembourg is the country's only public university and
employs 850 professional experts and 250 professors. Its four-year
plan between 2014 and 2017 focused on five research priorities,
including educational sciences and the Luxembourg School of Finance.
