(CR/JB) Last week's heatwave broke new records for weather in Luxembourg when the mercury rose to 34.9 °C for the first time during the last 10 days of August since records began.

According to Luxembourg met office MeteoLux, the record-trumping temperature was reached on Friday, August 26, breaking all previous records for the period August 21 to 31.
