(NG) The Luxembourg branch of humanitarian organisations Caritas and Red Cross have set up an emergency campaign to support the victims of Wednesday's earthquake in Italy.
The natural disaster struck pre-dawn and the current death toll is approaching 250, with an unknown number of people still trapped under collapsed buildings. Hundreds had spent the nights in tents, as their homes were no longer habitable.
