Calls for replacement primary teachers with high school qualifications

Luxembourg's Education Minister Claude Meisch says finding enough replacement teachers is a problem and applications are open to anyone with high school qualifications and four-week work experience.

After the government announced a major shortage of primary school teachers earlier this year, Education Minister Claude Meisch has said one of the biggest concerns is finding replacement teachers.

And with more positions than applicants for the 291 primary school teaching jobs for this school year, the ministry is calling on more young people to study and pursue a career in elementary education.
