European Commission seeks to have worker legislation by year end

The European Commission began another round of talks with trade unions and employers' groups about making workers' contracts "fairer and more predictable."
The discussions are part of developing the European Pillar of Social Rights which the Commission presented on April 26. It consists of 20 principles and rights aimed at formalising regulations across the European Union and creating "better living and working conditions."
