(NG) The Minister of Equal Opportunities Lydia Mutsch presented the online version of MEGA-Spill, aimed at combatting male and female stereotypes, during a recent press conference.
The original game, based on the classic Memory game, was released in
2013. The creation of the online version is just one in a series of
measures the Equal Opportunities Ministry is taking in the field
of work and education, among adults and youngsters alike.
The game aims to highlight that there aren't any jobs typical for just one gender. In theory, youngsters do not yet have preconceived notions about such stereotypes; girls and boys can study the same professions and select
the same occupations, irrespective of gender.
The online game can be played alone or in pairs by visiting the MEGA-Spill website.
