(JB) A young Luxembourgish woman from Esch-sur-Alzette has made it through
the first round of The Voice Germany performing Flower Duet.
Sabrina Gerard said she entered the contest with zero expectations and
so was astounded when she was accepted to enter the blind auditions.
Hidden behind a curtain, her voice won over the judges in the German talent contest who kept her on tenterhooks, buzzing their approval in the last second.
Afterwards, Sabrina gave a second performance, this time in full view of the judges.
She will continue through the contest under the watchful eye of coach
Rea Garvey.
A drummer since the age of 10, Sabrina later discovered keyboard and piano. It was not until she attended her local Conservatoire that she began singing in a choir and discovered her “gift”.
She said that it was then that she developed her love of classical music.
