Slovenian film with English subtitles: Home is the centre, an everyday haven, a temple of small habits. This documentary film focuses on the very opposite of these pleasant connotations. MUSIC
Rockhal 10th birthday party – Friday, Rockhal from 8pm
It’s been 10 years since the first concert was held at the Rockhal and now they’re having a birthday party to celebrate with bands and DJs galore! Doors open 8pm and entrance costs 10 euros. For full details read the article: Rockhal is 10!
There is also a free bus service from Luxembourg City. Buses will depart from Glacis bus stop at 8 pm, 9 pm and 10 pm, and will pass by P+R Bouillon in Hollerich 10 minutes later. Return buses will leave the Rockhal at 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm and take you back to Luxembourg city.

Włodek Pawlik Trio - Neimënster – Saturday 8pm
Hosted by CinEast festival - Włodek Pawlik is an extraordinary Polish jazz musician, film soundtrack composer and now also a Grammy winner. He has recorded 21 records under his own name to date and performed at many of the most notable and prestigious jazz and classical music festivals. Włodek Pawlik will present his newest album America, as well as some of his most famous film tunes and tracks from his Grammy Award-winning album. Entrance 20 euros, starts 8pm. Versus You 10 years! – Gudde Wëllen – Sunday – from 4pm
Local punk rock band Versus You are celebrating being around for 10 years now with a Sunday musical celebration. At 4pm catch rock instrumental band “The Majestic Unicorns From Hell”, at 5pm it is the turn of DJs “Freshdax” and finally taking to the stage from 6pm will be Versus You themselves starting early so they can play on until 10pm. Concert gala “Love is in the air” by Godbrange Mandolin group – Centre Culturel “Am Duerf” Junglinster – Sunday 5pm

“De Sable et de Vent” - Gare-Usines, Dudelange from Friday
The Mbera refugee camp in Mauritania, located in the southeastern border with Mali, in a desert region, is currently housing 50,000 people displaced by the armed conflict that shook northern Mali since April 2012. Photographer, Vincenzo Cardile, is one of the few who was able to enter and report the testimonies of daily life. “De Sable et de Vent” is his photo exhibition of his time in Mauritania. Dragons for Children Day - Saturday - from 10am-5.30pm
Banish boredom for your kids in October by signing them up to the 18th Dragons for Children Day on October 17. Youngsters can choose from three activities per session including: tentmaking, clay garden ornaments, elastic band cars, batik flags, hobby horse workshops, nodding creatures, horse hair raku, baby dragons, T-shirts and free play with clay.Children can be signed up to one of two sessions, from 10am to 1.30pm or 2pm to 5.30pm.Participation costs 25 euros per child with additional activities charged at the appropriate rate.Places are limited and MUST be booked in advance. Drëppefestival - Sandweiler - Sunday
The little known Luxembourg spirit “Drëppe” is about to become more known. In fact the drink is a really old one that now has a festival in its honour. Visit Sandweiler on Sunday and try for yourself, Sour croute will be served between 12pm and 1.30pm and there will be music at 4pm.
