What began as a normal roadside traffic speed control for officers of Friday morning, ended up in a very high-speed car chase on the A4 motorway.
It started near Leudelange when a sports car roared past a speed camera check point at an incredible 252 km per hour.
The police gave chase and were eventually able to stop the reckless speedster on the A4 near Pontpierre.
At point the police discovered that not only was the driver a generous accelerator pedal user, but also the man was under the influence of alcohol.
Needless to say, his licence was immediately revoked and the culprit is likely to incur a hefty fine at least.
