(AFP) The internationally-successful Scottish band announced they are
reforming as a three-piece during a press conference in Glasgow,
Scotland.
Les McKeown, Alan Longmuir and Stuart Wood, three of the original
five-piece band, have revealed they are reforming, after separating in
1978 following waning popularity and internal disagreements. The group
was hugely successful during the 1970s, both in the UK and US, with over
100 million records sold and a large, loyal fanbase. The period at the
peak of their popularity was dubbed "Rollermania".
The Bay City Rollers also announced that they will be performing a
special comeback show in December, when they will reveal their new
album.
