(ADW) Prime Minister Xavier Bettel was seen on Tuesday with a stack of school books under his arm, having paid a visit to the book market or “Bichermaart” that has taken place in the Capital’s Place d’Armes at the start of the school year for over 30 years.
But why does Bettel need school books? “So I can see for myself what's in the school programme” he explained. The PM seemed to have a particular penchant for history and non-fiction. "The book market is a good initiative for all students who cannot afford new books. In addition, it is great for seller to be able to pass on their books”, he stated.
