(JB) A charity concert that was part-funded through crowdfunding website Kickstarter is to take place at Luxembourg's Philharmonie on September 28.
Five talented musicians will perform works by Schubert and Shostakovitch, free of charge for the classical music event which raises funds for Caritas' work with homeless people.
Organised by not-for-profit group Fingertips, the cost of renting the venue was covered through a successful Kickstarter project launched over the summer.
Members of the public who donated money to the initiative through the platform will receive a variety of rewards, including music lessons, walking tours and dinner with the musicians.
Fingertips, which was founded by musician friends Shaun Motiani and Chiahu Lee (Chia-Chia), has organised a number of fundraising concerts since their first event in 2012 supporting asylum seekers.
Over the years, they have raised around 15,00 euros for charitable causes.
This latest concert, however, will be their biggest yet and marks the first time they have invited other musicians to perform.
The concert begins at 7.30pm.
While entry is free of charge, attendees can donate money for the selected charity.
