(JB) Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel is to meet the Pope when he pays a visit to the Vatican on Thursday.
The Premier will be given a private audience with the pontiff at the apostolic palace to discuss bilateral relations and European and international politics.
It is also expected that he will speak with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State to the Vatican and Archbishop Paul Gallagher, Secretary for State relations.
Following the meetings, Prime Minister Bettel will be received by Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to discuss bilateral relations and the priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union as well as the migrant crisis.
