(JB) Parts of the Côte d'Eich will be closed over the coming weeks to allow for work to install a bridge linking the new Pfaffenthal lift to the Pescatore park.
From August 12 to 14, a 50-metre stretch of the pavement on the right-hand-side as one travels into the city and the right lane will be closed.
In a second phase, the entire road will be closed from 10pm on August 14 to 5am on August 17.
A diversion will be set up redirecting traffic from Boulevard Royal via Avenue de la Porte-Neuve, Avenue Victor Hugo and Rue des Glacis, which will rejoin the Côte d'Eich in the south.
For motorists travelling to the city centre, a diversion will be in place taking them along Place d'Argent, up to the Glacis, Allée Scheffer, Pasteur Avenue and Avenue de la Porte-Neuve.
To access other parts of the city, motorists should turn right at Place d'Argent and follow rue Muhlenbach to where it joins route d'Arlon at the Place de l'Etoile.
The closures will affect bus lines 10, 11, and 12, which will be diverted for the duration of the works. For information on the changes, visit vdl.lu
