Agreements such as these aim to promote and develop film co-productions between the Grand Duchy and partners abroad.
Highlighting current productions, Guy Daleiden, director of the National Audiovisual Production Support Fund, said: "With six films currently being shot, and 12 animation film productions in studios, and just as much work required in post-production, we can honestly say the audiovisual production sector is active."
He added that, "in the obscure cinemas of the Grand Duchy, one can discover films produced here, such as Meng Kollegen aus dem all or The Breadwinner. We are patiently waiting for the film Superjhemp Retörns that comes out on 24 October."
The Luxembourg Film Fund is also looking to the future, and new media productions, particularly virtual and augmented reality and transmedia, have not escaped its eye.
Support for such films as Fan Club, co-produced by a_BAHN, aim to help the fund break into specialised markets.
