MiFID II: New chapter for financial services
'Game-changing' regulation seeks to give investors more information, transparency and protection.
A new chapter begins for financial services in Europe as the long-awaited Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II) comes into force across the EU.
On January 3, the 'live environment test' also begins for a large number of market players in Luxembourg – from banks and professionals of the financial sector to investment firms and the Luxembourg Stock Exchange – as well as, indirectly, manufacturers of financial products.
