US insurer gets green light from UK regulator to reorganise business lines in Luxembourg and Britain
US insurer American International Group (AIG) has received the green light to restructure its European business model in light of Britain's departure from the European Union.
AIG said in a statement on Thursday it had received the regulatory approval from the High Court of England and Wales to transfer its UK-based subsidiary (AEL) into the two new entities – American International Group UK Limited (AIG UK) and AIG Europe SA (AESA).
