Luxembourg insurance sector sees rebound in third quarter

While premiums saw a 1.2% decline in life insurance, for non-life insurance business they went up by nearly 23%

Premiums for all lines of insurance combined rose by 17.8% year-on-year, according to new data from the Luxembourg insurance regulator the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA).

Following a rather disappointing trend in the previous quarter, Q3 2018 saw a clear rebound in the evolution of inflows in the local direct insurance sector, the regulator said in a statement on Monday.
