Revenue tax proposal 'no threat' to Ireland
French president's revenue tax proposals could have a considerable impact on countries such as Luxembourg and Ireland
French President Emmanuel Macron said during his New Year's press conference that Ireland had nothing to fear from his proposed revenue tax for US tech companies.
Macron wants to harmonise corporate tax accross the EU, and his proposals on digital tax would see multinational tech companies be taxed on the revenues they generate rather than their profit.
