Spanish party weighs tax incentives to lure blockchain firms
People's Party considering specific regulations to make it attractive for entrepreneurs to use blockchain to carry out initial coin offerings
Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy's People's Party (PP) is preparing legislation including possible tax breaks to attract companies using blockchain technology.
It is in Spain's interest to attract those companies because the technology is a driver for business in industries such as finance, health and education, said Teodoro Garcia Egea, the lawmaker preparing the bill.
