The year 2019 is going to come with many changes for consumers in Luxembourg and Europe - phone calls within the EU will become cheaper, the European Central Bank (ECB) will issue the new €100 and €200 notes and WhatsApp will display advertisements, writes Pierre Leyers for the Luxembourg Times' sister publication Luxemburger Wort.
From 28 May 2019 onwards, consumers in Europe will have to become accustomed to new bank notes. The ECB will issue new €100 and €200 notes that are endowed with security features that are deemed to make counterfeiting more difficult.
