Big rise in demand for office space as financial businesses firm up relocation plans

Bankers have strolled along Marienstrasse, a side street off one of the main arteries of Frankfurt‘s financial district, since the 19th century. Back then they hailed from the Brentano family; soon they will come from Goldman Sachs.
The US investment bank announced in October that it was taking 10,000 sq metres of space in Marienturm, a new 38-storey building close to the headquarters of Deutsche Bank, to house some 800 staff.
