Salmonella traces found in baby milk
Salmonella discovered in baby milk product sold in Luxembourg
Traces of salmonella have been detected in milk products for babies called "Milumel Bio" from the brand Lactalis.
The alarm was raised by the Cora supermarket chain, where the product was being sold as they alerted Luxembourg's food safety authorities to the existence of salmonella.
The bacteria causes toxic infections, resulting in gastrointestinal problems accompanied by fever within 48 hours of consumption of the contaminated product.
