Emergency services receive hundreds of calls due to storm Eleanor

Over 400 interventions carried out by 550 rescue services members, mostly because of trees, other debris blocking roads

On Wednesday, Luxembourg woke up to storm Eleanor battering the country, as one person was slightly injured, two trees fell on cars and over 330 calls were made to emergency services in four hours.

As Meteolux, the official Luxembourgish weather agency, had announced, the storm came with heavy rainfalls and gusts of wind of up to 110 kilometres an hour, wreaking havoc on the streets and disrupting traffic.
